The childlike action of drawing with chalk, that the two individuals engage in creates an urgency, that emerges when the circles cross paths. The notion of possession, and the attempt to gain dominance over the shared space, overshadows the enjoyment that used to be associated with chalk drawings. While attempting to breach the perimeter of the other's circle, the struggle over the limited space available in the image becomes visible, that gets emphasized through the static position the bodies are in. A commentary on the commodification of the human necessity and right to housing gets visualized that assumes an innocence, bordering on the helpless and comedic.
